Job Purpose: To manage and provide a high-quality recruitment and delivery service to all stakeholders; to include extensive candidate recruitment support, innovative employer business development, supply partner engagement, team management and delivery design and monitoring.


The post has responsibility for:

  • Ensuring our projects/programmes are implemented to provide a smooth, timely and quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring  timely project delivery, on budget, on values and to high quality standards
  • Working closely with supply partners to develop a pipeline of suitable job seekers
  • Promote the GoodPeople’s projects to selected job centres and other key partners through outreach
  • Deliver pre-employment screening and training and support to job seekers individually and in groups
  • Actively screen and select candidates against vacancy requirements
  • Regularly liaise with supply partners to promote GoodPeople services and to ensure regular candidate supply.
  • To be the first point of contact for candidates registering with GoodPeople
  • Screen candidates, individually and in groups, and assess their job readiness and suitability against current recruitment projects
  • Provide employability support and coaching to candidates as required (CV support, interview advice, application support)
  • Attend and support company and partner events
  • Manage and develop candidate relationships to ensure all are informed, valued and engaged with current and future opportunities.
  • Source candidates from methods of supply and establish contact to discuss potential new opportunities they could be interested in.
  • Interview candidates on the phone and in person
  • Forward applications to employers, creating engaging shortlist information.
  • Gain candidate acceptance upon job offer, coaching them through any difficulties that arise.
  • Maintain GoodPeople’s core databases with up-to-date candidate, supplier and employer information.

Business Development

  • Develop an understanding of client’s needs and align our recruitment projects with their internal processes
  • Work directly with employers to build relationships and develop new business and commercial opportunities
  • Build effective client relationships (employers) built from mutual trust, open and honest communication and a professional attitude.
  • Identify and pursuit new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Ensuring long-term formal and informal relationships with all clients and stakeholders are established and maintained


Team Management 

  • Creating an inspiring and motivating team environment with an open communication culture
  • Job and needs analysis to fulfil team and delivery requirements
  • Develop job descriptions and person specifications
  • Source, shortlist, interview and select new team members

  • Provide leadership and vision by assisting the directors with the development of long range and annual delivery plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans and delivery.

  •  Preparing discussion notes, analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the organisation in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Previous experience working in a recruitment focused role within a leading recruitment agency, training, or job brokerage organisation.
  • Understanding of job brokerage services within the public and private sector.
  • Strong track record of screening and matching candidates to client requirements.
  • Strong track record of achieving deadlines and targets.
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously.
  • Able to work in a team to common goals and targets.
  • Able to self-manage.
